💡 An NFT translates to “non-fungible token”. Unlike other cryptocurrencies, each NFT asset is one-of-a-kind and cannot be replicated. After Beeple sold one of his NFTs for an astronomical amount a few weeks ago, people became excited about the prospect of NFTs and wonder if this was another win for the cryptocurrency market. With the introduction of NFTs, the traditional art market might no longer be the same. Other than improved transparency and disclosure in the art market, NFTs allow different artists from different background and genres to participate the art community. NFTs will bound to transform the art market in the future.
